Chat via WhatsApp

Vehica can show a green “Chat via WhatsApp” button next to a seller's phone number, so a visitor opens a WhatsApp conversation instead of filling in a form. This page covers enabling the module, letting sellers mark their number as a WhatsApp number, and placing the button on your pages.

Requires Vehica 1.0.54
This feature is available since 1.0.54. In this article you can read how to update theme to the newest version.
The lower part of a single listing page: a specification table with Condition, Year, Fuel Type, Engine Size, Doors, Cylinders, Color and VIN, a button that reveals the phone number, and below it a green "Chat via WhatsApp" button.
The button appears under the phone-reveal button on the listing page.
  1. 1 Enable WhatsApp in the panel

Open Vehica → User Panel → Basic and turn on the “Chat via WhatsApp” module.

The Basic section of the Vehica User Panel settings in the WordPress admin, with an arrow pointing at the ticked “Chat via WhatsApp” module option, below the phone-number options and above User Location Type.
  2. 2 Let users mark their number

Your users can now tick whether they use WhatsApp in their user panel. The WhatsApp checkbox label can be renamed in Vehica Panel → Translate & Rename.

The front-end Account page with the Account Details tab open: a contact details form with Name, Phone and Email filled in, and a ticked WhatsApp checkbox under the phone field. Arrows point at the Account tab in the user panel menu and at the checkbox.
  3. 3 Add the widget to your pages

You can now add the widget anywhere you wish on the listing page or the user page.

The Elementor editor in mobile preview: the responsive-mode switch at the bottom of the left panel (1), the widget search (2) and the WhatsApp Button widget tile (3), with the green “Chat via WhatsApp” button (4) visible in the phone-sized preview of the listing.
Button missing on mobile or tablet?
If you cannot see the widget after adding it on mobile, tablet or desktop, make sure you added it to a section that is visible on that device — the screenshot above shows the widget being placed with Elementor switched to the mobile view.
