Why it is not possible to remove /properties/ part of a link from single property page?

1 minute read

Unfortunately it is not possible to remove /properties/ part of a single property link. You can rename it in the MyHome Theme >> Property Options >> General >> "Single property - slug"to any other slug.

It is not possible to remove it, because WordPress do not allow for it. WordPress can have this structure: domain.com/name/ only for pages and posts. For custom post types it require additional /xxx/ in the middle. It is not MyHome limitation, but WordPress limitation. It is one of the official rules of Codex: https://codex.wordpress.org/. WordPress was designed this way to have multiple custom post types e.g. "media" / "properties" / "testimonials". There are some plugins that can do it but it will probably not work correctly after implementing so we do not recommend this kind of plugins.
